The second and only other piece of art in the garden: Joel Haas's "Praying Mantis."
Though it looks quite benign in this picture, the little monster is actually some 3' high and long. Behind him is another cherished 'phorb, Euphorbia mellifera, which I'll no doubt lose once we have a real winter but in the meantime, its new foliage is glorious. The yummy purple blobs on either side of it are also of the Hebe family, but I don't remember their exact parentage.
