Pulling back now for the long view looking south, you get a good look at the tallest section of Steve Kass's inspired fence, soon to be draped with three different blue clematis. Centered in front of it (not yet leafed out) is a silvery-leaved willow (Salix eleagnos), which will stay 8'. In the right corner is a blue-leaved, white-barked eucalyptus (if you really want to know the species, write me and I'll find out), its growth thus far slowed considerably by shade. This is a good thing.
