Sandy Tolan's piece A Bean of a Different Color is part of an hour long special report from American RadioWorks airing on public radio stations in June and available now on the Web.

The Global Politics of Food also explores whether genetically modified crops will make things better or worse for India's poor farmers and if the Fair Trade coffee movement will make a difference for Guatemalan coffee farmers.

American RadioWorks is the documentary project of Minnesota Public Radio and NPR News.
