New Zealander Neil Finn (formerly of Crowded House and Split Enz) brought an all-star group including Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Phil Selway (Radiohead), Johnny Marr (formerly from The Smiths), Lisa Germano and others together for 7 Worlds Collide on Nettwerk America Records. The collection includes live versions of well-known songs by the artists, as well as new songs from Neil Finn that will appear on his solo CD due out in April.

Remember Shakti
Jazz guitarist John McLaughlin formed his East-West fusion group Shakti in the 1970's, and he reunited with tabla phenom Zakir Hussein in 1999 to form "Remember Shakti". Their virtuosity continues to dazzle on Saturday Night in Bombay on Verve Records.
