Former Bohemia Suburbana guitarist/sound collagist Juan Carlos Barrios collected sounds and rhythms from the streets and the AM airwaves of his native Guatemala for this fascinating and surreal dance CD. Radio Zumbido is the name of the project, and Los Ultimos Dias del AM is on the Palm Pictures label.

Drummer illy B Eats, better known as Billy Martin from Medeski Martin & Wood, offers a 2 CD set: one disc contains some hip beats for use by DJs and mixmasters, and the second CD features artists who've incorporated Martin's rhythms into their compositions. It is on the Amulet Records label.
