Paw Of The Universe

Not for myself

I labor,

But the paw of the universe

Tracked by winter white

Hunched snarling,

Cloves of galaxies

Between its claws

Strewn as it pads

Knowing its way.

Globes of light

Pierce the night

Fiery. Sudden

It leaps.

Free, it becomes

Its full self.
