With live music, duh.

All the concerts from Toast of the Nation, the public radio New Year's Eve party, are now archived online. This year's edition featured live broadcasts of pianist Billy Childs and a quartet from Los Angeles; guitarist Julian Lage calling up some super-subs (Larry Grenadier and Eric Harland) for a Boston gig; and Wynton Marsalis holding court in New York with Jelly Roll Morton and King Oliver material. Also featured in the special: live concert recordings from Newport, Detroit, Denver and Washington, D.C. More info on this year's lineup here.
