Tonight: Yoko Ono Live At The Brooklyn Academy Of Music

Tonight, Yoko Ono will perform at the Brooklyn Acadamey of Music with an all-star version of the Plastic Ono Band, the group she co-led decades ago with her late husband, John Lennon. Last year, she revived the band for a genuinely great record called Between My Head and the Sky; it featured her son, Sean Lennon, along with an assortment of world-class rock and jazz players, working through edgy funk and strange-voiced experimental pop, just like the old days.

For tonight's show, friends old and new will join her, including Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, former Beatles collaborators Klaus Voorman and Jim Keltner, Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, and who knows who else.

I'll be live tweeting from the show starting around 8 p.m. ET tonight. Follow me @WilliamHermes.
