Now On All Songs: The Best New Electronic Music

Given how quickly and often files are traded all over the Internet, the term "exclusive" is a dangerous one to use.  But on this week's All Songs Considered we offer a handful of unreleased cuts that you have likely never heard before.

For starters we’ve got "This Year" by producer Terror Danjah, which has been on several mixtapes in the UK but until this point a full quality version has not been aired, (the bass sounds way heavier at 320 kbps). Were also premiering a cut off of Danish trio Jatoma's self titled debut album, called "Little Houseboat," which will be released on November 9th. Lastly we've got the song "Insist" from New England native Morgan Packard, from his forthcoming CD Moment Again Elsewhere, which comes out one week from today.

Staying on top of upcoming releases really is a full-time job, and it helps if you know where to look. On the show we talk about how the website Soundcloud is a good place to find songs before they are released. I often look up an artist or a record label in the search box at the top right corner of the Soundcloud screen, and select the "people" tab in my search results, where I can select the artist or album I've searched for. This is one place that I find the freshest material from my favorite artists.
