Vote For The Albums Everyone Can Love, For July 31

Apart from Rubber Soul by The Beatles, there weren't any big winners in last week's poll, the latest in our summer-long attempt to identify the albums we can all agree on. Although, if you adjust for the "haven't really heard" votes, 90 percent of those of you who have heard it "love" Otis Redding's Otis Blue, which is about as good as any album has done this summer. Most of you also haven't heard Peter Bjorn & John's Writer's Block (an incredibly catchy and popular record when it first came out in 2006) or Portishead's Dummy. You'll definitely want to check those out if you haven't heard them.

We read the comments and love getting your nominees for albums to be included in future polls, so keep them coming. Toward the end of the summer we'll publish a complete list of all the records that appeared in the polls.
