This London transplant appeared in our June edition of Recommended Dose, with the single "BBOY 202." This month's selection, "Dali House," of Moiré's new LP Shelter, is more of a deep cut that serves as a great set-starter thanks to the eerie whisper of guest vocalist Bones.

Former Kentucky riot grrl and current Chicago disco DJ Marea Vierge-Noire produces her own music as The Black Madonna. Her latest single, "Stay," features seamless '70s samples and a throbbing low-end that reminds us of some of Moodymann's best material.

We discovered a demo version of this dirty techno cut by Opal Tapes founder Stephen Bishop on SoundCloud. When we asked Bishop — who releases his own music as Basic House — if we could feature it on the Dose, he quickly remastered it and retitled it "Cones." The release date and record label for this monster is still to be determined.

Rudolf Nordström and Oscar Wedren made their first appearance on Recommended Dose in March, when we couldn't stop playing "Liberace's Fever." Now the duo known as Mr. Tophat & Art Alfie released another B-side that's better than most other artists' A-sides: "Karlsson's Dub." This one's all about that bassline, which loops for more than 7 minutes and is all the better for it.

The "biggest" song of the month, by which we mean "Caldera" is the only track on this installment of the Dose that's really destined for peak-hour big-room action. Recondite's hi-res chimes gradually but methodically increase in pitch, ramping up anticipation for one of the more tasteful drops of the summer.

Lee Gamble, one of our favorite active producers, is about to release a new full-length, KOCH (out Sept. 16 on PAN). The album's teaser track, "Motor System," is head-down techno of the finest order. With a warehouse thump chugging away at 135 bpm, it raises both your pulse and level of paranoia.
