Aphex Twin, 'minipops 67 [120.2][source field mix]'

First, it was a blimp over London. Then, stenciled logos on New York City sidewalks. A tweet to a website most people couldn't access if they tried. Now, finally, we get to hear a track from the upcoming Aphex Twin LP, Syro.

Earlier today, BBC Radio1 DJ Zane Lowe premiered "minipops 67 [120.2][source field mix]," a version of Syro's opening track, on his radio show. You can listen to the song in its entirety below.

"minipops," as it's destined to be known, is signature AFX. The synths bounce erratically, yet some how make perfect sense. The warped vocal sighs are disorienting, yet blissful. There's nothing poppy about it, yet it somehow sticks in your head.

Syro, Aphex Twin's first official album in 13 years, is due out Sept. 23 on Warp Records. Here's the album's complete track list:
