- Ceci Bastida has been delighting fans with her LP Veo La Marea, soon to be released in the U.S. It's been a good year for this Mexican artist, who was recently nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Song. But the news we're excited about is that she has teamed up with Julieta Venegas to do a cover of Alt.Latino favorite Rita Indiana's "La Sofi" for Fonogramaticos Volumen 10, a monthly compilation put together by music website Club Fonograma.

- More awesome Mexican music: This weekend the band She's A Tease premiered the song "Fiebre" on the online music magazine 8106. It's a preview of their highly anticipated album, Millonaria. Following Alt.Latino's ongoing theme of disco revival, this song is all glitter baby.

- Finally, if you suck at Rock Band, here's some news that might lift your spirits: Colombian rocker Juanes recently played the game featuring his own music, and he lost every time. Click here to watch.
