Aside from the fruitful music community in Spain, we rarely hear Spanish-language songs from the rest of Europe. An extraordinary act from London, Amor De Dias ("Love of Days"), is winning over fans around the globe with a blend of folk, bossa nova and melodic pop. Amor De Dias is a nearly 3-year collaboration between London indie band The Clientele's frontman Alasdair MacLean and Lupe Núñez-Fernández from the UK-based Spanish duo Pipas.

The Amor De Dias debut album is The Street of the Love of Days, and features guest musicians like French singer Louis Philippe, folk rock duo Damon & Naomi and Brooklyn-based indie rocker Gary Olson. It is a warm and graceful collection of lullabies swimming in instrumental simplicity, sweet vocal inflection and whimsical lyricism. The most gracious moments in the album arrive in the Spanish-language songs, which sound like wonderful magical realist pieces.

One of the highlights is the song "Late Mornings," which showcases Núñez-Fernández's mellow voice. The track's music video is a captivating piece directed by Xana Kudrjavcev-DeMilner, whose craftsmanship in visual poetry parallels the band's careful songwriting. The result is an audiovisual feast in which the subtle and the psychotic coexist.
