Swollen Feet And Leaky Pants: What Pregnancy Side Effects Surprised You?

This week, Lateefah Torrence graciously — and bravely — shared a picture of her poor, swollen feet.

Reading the comments on her post, this one, from nicoline smits (Domela), stood out:

One thing that I'm still angry about is that NO ONE, not one of the stupid pregnancy books or any veteran mom, warned me that my feet would likely remain one half to a whole size bigger after pregnancy. I bought a cute pair of sneakers that I never got to wear because they didn't fit anymore! So be forewarned: Don't buy any shoes that you intend to wear post-pregnancy until you know what the final verdict is, shoe-wise.

Here at The Baby Project, we want to give first-time expectant moms a hand — but we need your help.

Tell us about all of the wacky, embarrassing, unpleasant pregnancy side effects you wish you'd known about before they happened. You can leave your response in the comments field below, or use our contact form. Then, we'll compile a list and post it here on the blog.
