Just a personal observation, but the two pieces of music sound nothing alike. And hate to break it to the "Creaky Boards" but, regardless of what their views on musical individuality may or may not be, all cookie-cutter rock bands sound pretty much the same. It's not like one is going to sound like Gregorian Chant and the other 12-Tone. The musical structure, tonal pallet, and instrumentation will always sound similar. Even then, the Coldplay piece stands out. The Creaky Boards one does not.
