I know you've been told otherwise, but there is plenty of humor in classical music. Even the heaven-storming Beethoven, who drove his nephew to near suicide, took his sister-in-law to court (twice!) and was prone to flying off the handle for any reason, wrote a song called "Ass of all Asses."
I'm certain he was only referring to donkeys... and not to their more metaphorical doppelgangers.
Look out for a classical cartoon —or "Artune," as our intrepid artist Pablo Helguera likes to call them — each week at the same time: a Friday "classical cartoon at noon."
However, we couldn't resist featuring this one on Deceptive Cadence's opening day.
Pablo Helguera is a New York-based artist working with sculpture, drawing, photography and performance. You can see more of his work at Artworld Salon and on his own site.
