What are your favorite music and food pairings?

The leaves are falling, the air is crisp and our fridges are starting to fill up in anticipation of next week's Thanksgiving feast. Our friend Miles Hoffman has already mused upon the question of which composers he'd most want to invite to his dining room table, but we have a slightly different question in mind: What dishes (appetizers, main courses, desserts) or drinks cry out for their own soundtracks?

With Turkey-Day just around the corner, we're asking several prominent musicians and a noteworthy sommelier for their picks of the perfect pairings of food, wine and music. And we want to know what tickles your palate and your ears. Would you like some schlag with your Strauss? Are roast beef and Copland what's for dinner? Would prosecco and a Rossini overture be a perfect kickoff to your Thanksgiving meal? Craft your own music and food menus and tell us all about them in the comments section.

Listen up, and bon app├ętit.
