November 4, 2008 Long lines of voters snaked around polling places across the country on Tuesday. Despite the lines, most voting went smoothly. There were, however, some glitches in battleground states. Here, a breakdown of some of the key states where voters experienced challenges.
November 4, 2008 Linda Townsend Johnson and her husband, James moved to Colorado Springs from Mississippi last May. One of the first things they did when they got there was register to vote in this historic election. Then, a few weeks ago, they were told their names had been purged from the voter rolls.
November 4, 2008 Lake County, Ind. gained notoriety last May when elections officials there delayed final results in the Democratic primary. This fall, Lake County was in the news again when the state Supreme Court rejected a challenge brought by the state GOP over early voting locations. We check in on Election Day.
