The Tea Party In America

Delaware GOP House Race Looks Like Dead Heat

The House race in Delaware's Republican primary appears no less interesting than the Senate race which was won by Tea Party Christine O'Donnell.

The Tea Party favorite in the House race, Glen Urquhart, who runs a real estate investment and management company, has a slight lead over Michele Rollins, a one-time federal government and corporate lawyer and former Miss USA. He had 48.6 percent of the vote to her 47.7 percent, setting up what appears to be a recount.

In a recent poll, Urquhart had a larger lead than Rollins so he arguably underperformed. But what counts in politics, obviously, is having more votes than the other candidate.
