Jimmy Carter Hospitalized After Flight; Upset Stomach Is Diagnosed

CNN is reporting that former President Jimmy Carter, suffering from "unknown health issues" on a flight to Cleveland, has been hospitalized at Metro Health Hospital in Cleveland.

He was heading to the city for a book signing event.  Carter turns 86 on Friday.

Additional details will be posted as they come in.

UPDATE:  NPR has confirmed that the former president was suffering from airsickness.

UPDATE:  CNN read a statement from the Carter Center in which the former president was described as suffering from an upset stomach, and that he is expected to resume his book tour later in the week.
