Meanwhile, NPR's Liz Halloran reports that as she walked outside the large ballroom at the Omni Shoreham Hotel where the main speakers and panels occur, she heard a man in a suit discussing conservative messaging with other attendees, refer to "Obama and company, who hate this country..."

She also reports:

"There was a table of books by practically all the candidates, and Herman Cain's is selling the best "by far" the gentleman at the selling table told me.
