When you think about it, we're forced to predict the future every day. Should I take this job? Buy this new washing machine?

Businesses have to make these big money bets all the time. Will anyone want this product next week or next year? A lot of these decisions come down to people. And people make unpredictable decisions based on weird emotions.

Today on the show: how a bunch of rational economists try to deal with our feelings. And the story of a man who came up with five simple questions that he hoped would predict the future.

Music: CJ Lavoire's "The First of the Year" and Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong." Find us: Twitter/ Facebook/ Spotify/ Tumblr.
