Hear A New Song By Peter Wolf Crier

On May 25, Jagjaguwar will continue its Midwestern curatorial with the release of Inter-Be, the debut album by the Minneapolis band Peter Wolf Crier. The duo consists of Peter Pisano and Brian Moen.

This latest single by PWC — "Hard As Nails" — centers on a simple and forlorn guitar line, the song building in urgency until it's finally swallowed by its own fervor. Despite the build-up, the final celebration is more haunted than glorious. It's a tune played in shadows.

Peter Wolf Crier is not to be confused with Peter Wolf, the solo artist and former singer in the J. Geils Band. What is a little confusing is that Peter Wolf recently released his first album in eight years, Midnight Souvenirs. That's a lot of Peter and a lot of Wolf in 2010.
