In celebration of Saturday's Record Store Day, Merge Records is releasing an exclusive 7" from one of my favorite bands of recent years: Telekinesis. The single is the band's first release since 2009's self-titled album, and features the new songs "Dirty Thing" b/w "Non-Toxic" and "The Drawback."

Monitor Mix is fortunate enough to have an exclusive stream of "Dirty Thing." It's a catchy number full of serpentine riffs and sauce-pot lyrics, with fuzz gathering on the song like moss on a rolling stone.

But don't settle for this mere sample: Go out and buy the entire single on April 17! The B-sides are just as snappy and sharp. (I might even love "The Drawback" more than the A-side; it could be the drum rolls.) Plus, you get to own the artwork and ponder this question: Laser cats or cat lasers?

Please support Record Store Day this Saturday, April 17, by heading to your local independent music retailer and celebrating those who keep our sonic dreams alive.
