The last of the much-abbreviated morning roundups before I am back at my usual desk! Thanks for your patience, and there's lots more to tell you from press tour once I escape surprisingly rainy California.

Ad Age looks at how Internet-enabled devices for watching TV are setting up a big confrontation with cable companies and networks in the future.

• Wow, two things I try to avoid as much as possible in the same place: "Pants On The Ground" and Brett Favre.

• Feel free to read about the ongoing box-office record-smashings being performed by Avatar. Blah blah blah, $500 million in 32 days, and so forth.

• It's a long way from a done deal, so don't let the headline make you overly happy, but any remotely plausible story with NPH and Glee in it is something to consider very promising.
