The struggle to provide relief continues in Haiti, and NPR's photographers have documented the latest efforts. David Gilkey has captured the lack of security in downtown Port-au-Prince, which military forces are attempting to stabilize:
On the upside, medical forces continue to trickle in. But with thousands of people to treat, they have a rough road ahead. John Poole was there to capture Massachusetts 1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team, the first U.S. medical base to be established in Haiti.
