I only caught a bit of the Golden Globes last night, but what I saw was necessarily strange. Actors and actresses, being awarded for their hard work, struggled with the glitz of Hollywood paired with the stark reality of the crisis in Haiti. The few speeches I saw were gracious (Meryl Streep), scattered but sweet (here's looking at you, Drew Barrymore), and incredibly heartfelt (Kevin Bacon, I love you, and Kyra's fierce pride in you).

But I was most taken with Michael C. Hall, who won for Dexter. He just announced last week that he's being treated for Hodgkin's lymphoma, so I like to imagine that this win gave him a bit of a boost. Plus, I always have a soft spot in my heart for people we've had on the show, so in case you missed it, here's Michael C. Hall on Talk of the Nation. Enjoy.
