Rod Blagojevich.  The minute I heard this man talk, I knew I would learn to spell his name.  It's not personal, it's not political... there are some people that just make great tape.  Blago, James Carville, Sarah Palin — I'll drop everything to pull a little tape from something they said.

So of course, I was pretty stoked about the Blago corruption trial, and I scoured the papers for news on the opening statements.  And guess what?  Blagojevich's attorney, Sam Adam Jr., is no slouch in the performance department either.  His defense? Blago just isn't that bright.

“What happened here, ladies and gentlemen, is he was fooled, absolutely fooled,” Mr. Adam told jurors in opening remarks. Of Mr. Blagojevich’s choices of advisers, some of whom are now expected to testify against him, Mr. Adam said: “The governor’s judgment is horrible. I mean horrible. Just horrible.”

Also of note, Adam used "ain't" in his opener. Looking forward to hearing this guy on tape.
