Here's something you don't see everyday. I never thought I would use the word "polite" to describe a robber.
In Seattle, a 65-year-old man attempted to rob a Shell gas station. In the surveillance video above, the man armed with a semi-automatic weapon asks attendant John Henry for a cup of coffee. Then he asks for all of the money in the register, but in the nicest way possible.
Henry gave the man $300. The robber thanked him and vowed to bring back the money if things turned around. He was arrested in his home shortly after. Local Fox station KCPQ reports that Henry is sympathetic to the robber's plight.
"You hope the judge shows him mercy? Yes, yes, yes. He didn't look like a professional thief, he looked like somebody who needed help. But he just didn't know how to use the right tool to get help."
