The National Weather Service is forecasting huge waves off the north coast of the Hawaiian island, Oahu. The waves are so high that a high profile surfing competition, The Quiksilver In Memory of Eddie Aikau, is now underway. (HT: Greg Dixon!) Don't forget to stream the wave action.
Surfers descended on the island yesterday and Hawaiian police had to do crowd control because thousands of people converged on the shore to watch.
