2009 Was Worst Year In Decades For Wages And Benefits

The economy may have gotten stronger as 2009 came to a close, but the year was an awful one for U.S. workers.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says Americans' wages and salaries rose only 1.5% last year. And that, the Associated Press says, is "the weakest showing on records that go back to 1982."
