Jan. 27 Will Be A Busy Day: Apple's 'Tablet' & Obama's State Of The Union

Which will get more of your attention on Jan. 27 ...

— Apple's "tablet"?
— Or President Barack Obama's State of the Union address?

Next Wednesday's looking to be a big day for tech and political junkies.

As the Mercury News says, "Apple officially alerted the world Monday that it is ready to unveil its latest tinkerings — which many in the tech industry are betting will be a multimedia tablet computing slate — on the morning of Jan. 27."

And also yesterday, the White House said Obama will speak to Congress and the nation that night.

We'll be watching both stories, of course.

CNNMoney.com, by the way, wonders whether the real tablet will be as good as some of the rumors and videos about it.
