White House, GOP Trade Letters About 'Health Summit'; Read Them

House Republican leaders John Boehner of Ohio and Eric Cantor of Virginia want to know if President Barack Obama is willing "to start over" on health care overhaul legislation.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs responds, saying that his boss is "open to including any good ideas that stand up to objective scrutiny." But, Gibbs adds, "what he will not do, however, is walk away from reform and the millions of American families and small business counting on it."

And so begins the back-and-forth over the planned Feb. 25 "health care summit" of Democrats and Republicans.
