Health Care Law Fix Boils Down To Vote On Really Short Bill

The just-passed health care law is more than 2,000 pages. So how long is the legislation the House will vote on tonight to correct the problems Senate Republicans found in the reconciliation bill? Not long. It boils down to a bill of less than 20 words. Seriously.

Resolved, That the bill from the House of Representatives
(H.R. 4872) entitled ''An Act to provide for reconciliation
pursuant to Title II of the concurrent resolution on the
budget for fiscal year 2010 (S. Con. Res. 13).'', do pass with
the following


1 (1) On page 118, strike lines 15 through 25 (and re

2 designate subsequent subsections accordingly).

3 (2) On page 120, strike lines 3 through 5.
