Jobless Claims Up For Second Week

The number of people filing first-time claims for jobless benefits rose by 24,000 last week, to 484,000, the Employment and Training Administration just reported.

As the Associated Press says, it's the second straight week that claims rose and suggests "that jobs are still hard to come by even as the economic recovery gains traction."
