Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a busy afternoon ahead of her.

She has scheduled back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back bilateral meetings with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, President Jimmy Carter, Envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East Tony Blair, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Tomorrow, President Obama will convene a Palestinian-Israeli summit at the White House.

"We do not expect to achieve peace in one meeting," Assistant Secretary of State P.J. Crowley told reporters yesterday.

But I think we want to see the launch of a vigorous process that will involve significant involvement by the leaders themselves as well as regular interaction with their respective negotiating teams, including the full participation of the United States supported by other countries in the region and around the world.
