Obama: Economy's Moving In Right Direction, But Not Fast Enough

Coming off this morning's OK-but-not-great report on last month's unemployment rate, President Obama just said — again — that he wants action on Capitol Hill.

"I'm calling on Congress to make passing a small business jobs bill its first order of business" when it returns to the Capital later this month, Obama said.

"The key point I'm making right now is that the economy is moving in a positive direction," but jobs aren't being created "as fast as we need," Obama added.

Economic indicators, he said, signal "we're moving in the right direction. ... We just need to speed it up."
