I love these kind of hearings. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee held hearings today on just how bad the terrorist threat to the United States is.

Two word sum up: Really bad.
FBI Director Robert Mueller dropped this gem, "Groups affiliated with al-Qaida are now actively targeting the United States and looking to use Americans or Westerners who are able to remain undetected by heightened security measures." And, "It appears domestic radicalization and homegrown extremism is becoming more pronounced."
Not to be left out Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had this uplifting update, "The threats come from a broader array of groups and regions. It comes from a wider variety of harder-to-detect tactics. And it is aimed at harder-to-secure places than before."
Oh, here's the link to the whole thing. Now re-thinking planned attendance at music festival this weekend. Hiding under the couch is looking good.
