British Threat Level Raised

The British government has raised it's threat level from Irish related terrorism to "substantial."

The Home Secretary Theresa May told the BBC that it meant an attack was a "strong possibility." Last week the head of Britain's domestic security service MI-5 said that attacks on the British mainland could come from dissident Irish Republicans who reject a peace deal.

This is the first time the British government has released its threat level from Irish terrorists. The level of threat from international terrorists is still higher at "severe."
