In Separate Attack, Four Killed In Pakistan By Drone

In addition to the dramatic cross-border fighting today in Pakistan that Korva wrote about. Pakistani officials are saying that four militants were killed today in North Waziristan. The area borders on Afghanistan and has been a center of Taliban and Al Qaida forces.

The US doesn't talk about the drone strikes in Pakistan. There are drone forces operated by both the CIA and the military. The strikes have increased markedly under President Obama, this is, at least the 19th strike this month, and there may have been more.

The AFP says that more than 1,100 people have been killed in over 130 drone strikes in Pakistan since August 2008.
