One Gun Used In Three Shootings At U.S. Military Facilities

The FBI says a shooting this week at a military facility in Virginia has been linked to other recent shootings. Lab tests show the same weapon was used in all three attacks.

Here's a report from NPR's Carrie Johnson:

The FBI lab in Quantico Virginia has been testing ballistics evidence in order to figure out whether three recent shootings are connected. Investigators say the same weapon fired at a vacant Marine Corps Recruiting Station in Chantilly, Va., was also used in overnight shootings last week at the Pentagon and the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

No one has been hurt in any of the shootings, which have occurred at night or in the early morning hours, when parts of the buildings were empty.

An FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating the incidents.
