Scary Moment On Ice As Rink Ceiling Caves In

A group of kids practicing ice hockey were pulled to safety just in time by their parents who noticed ice falling from the rink's ceiling in Námestovo, Slovakia. What started as a Sunday stick-and-puck session turned into a dash for the exit as huge chunks of the ceiling started to drop, then suddenly - the roof literally fell in.

Astonishingly, nobody was hurt.

There's no word on the cause of the collapse, although media reports suggest heavy snow on the roof could be responsible. The young athletes were working with Slovakia's hockey ambassador, former NHL player Richard Zednik, says the Washington Post (Zednik played for the Washington Capitals).
