Magneto Thinks NPR Is Neat-O

Always attracted to a back story, last weekend I found out how a rag-tag group of social outcasts became (as Stan Lee would say) a band of merry mutants. That's right, I saw X-Men: First Class.

In the movie, Michael Fassbender plays a young version of the X-Men's arch-nemesis, the master of magnetism himself, Magneto. Just before the movie opened in theaters Fassbender stopped by NPR's New York Bureau to talk with Weekend Edition Saturday host Scott Simon about, among other things, how he prepared for this role.
