This Post Is Not About President Obama's Jeans. Do Not Be Distracted By The Jeans.

Word has it President Barack Obama is throwing out the first pitch at the Washington Nationals season opener next week. This is the 100th Anniversary of the First Presidential First Pitch, when they wheeled President William Howard Taft out to the mound to throw out the ceremonial ball at a Washington Senators game.

Now, Mr.Taft was so big, if he had put on Mr.Obama's mom jeans, they would have fit like skinny jeans, and I remember hearing somewhere that we have this fact to thank for the seventh inning stretch. Thanks to his wide girth, Mr.Taft was uncomfortable in the stadium seats. Eventually he had to pry himself out of the chair to stretch, and since he was the President, everybody followed. Anybody know if this is true? I worry I dreamed it.
