Who Is This Narrator? UPDATED: It's The Guy From 'Goonies'

So, I saw this ad from Rick Snyder, who is running to be the Republican candidate for Governor of Michigan. At first I just thought it was funny that he was running on a platform of nerdiness, and as a nerd myself, this gave me hope, that I might someday have an ad on TV.

But then there's that part when the narrator says "who just happens to adore Michigan," which should be a perfectly nice thing to say, and it sounds like a threat. And then I notice, everything he says sounds absolutely terrifying. Then it occurs to me, I've heard him before.

(He comes in about :31 in.) Who is this narrator guy? What does his resume say? Seriously, it doesn't matter what he says, you can bet it'll be horrifying. Can you imagine him reading Goodnight Moon?

UPDATE: A little poking around, and you know who it is? It's the guy from The Goonies:
