This week's World Cafe: Next looks at Dublin musician Declan O'Rourke. The singer-songwriter's third album, Mag Pai Zai, was released in the U.S. last month after already winning over fans overseas. Britpop legend Paul Weller — former frontman of The Jam — has been quoted as calling O'Rourke's song "Galileo" "possibly the greatest song written in the last 30 years."

O'Rourke has a penchant for writing about love and history with equal amounts of ease and gravity, as listeners will hear in the two tracks heard in this podcast.
