In honor of St. Patrick's Day this week, World Cafe's guest is an Irish supergroup. The Gloaming features Martin Hayes, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Iarla ÓLionáird, Dennis Cahill and Thomas Bartlett (better known as Doveman). They split the duties of playing guitar and piano, fiddling, singing and producing. The Gloaming released its self-titled debut earlier this year.

The group members first met at Grouse Lodge in Ireland, and once they began playing together, the songs and their identity emerged. In this session, they perform live in Dublin.
