Ted Kennedy, Senate's Liberal Lion, Dies
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts died Aug. 25 of complications related to a cancerous brain tumor. The 77-year-old Democrat was surrounded by family members at his home in Hyannis Port, Mass. Universally known as Teddy, he had served in the Senate since 1962.
