Nobel Prizes 2007 Each year since 1901, the Nobel Prize has been awarded for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace. A prize in economics was later established in memory of Alfred Nobel. The much-anticipated peace prize will be awarded Friday; there is buzz that a former vice president may be the top candidate for his work on climate change.
